Much excitement in the newsroom this morning about the fact that KFC is bringing back its grilled chicken giveaway for one day (today). 
(Yes, yes, in the newsroom, we get excited about pretty much any freebie…)
This will be the third time that KFC is doing its “un-fried” chicken giveaway since it launched its grilled chicken in April. In May, Oprah Winfrey promoted the free chicken giveaway, and KFC stores were inundated with so many requests that they ran out of chicken.
Today’s chicken freebie is only at participating locations, so please give me a shout-out if you know which locations are and aren’t doing the giveaway in our area!
Of course, if you’re not a KFC fan, you have another cheap option for grilled chicken today: Boston Market has a coupon for a full Boston Market meal for only $1 through Nov. 1.
Yes, for only 100 pennies, you can get a quarter white or three-piece dark chicken, mashed potatoes and cornbread.
In an e-mail sent to its VIP members, the company said:
