And so far, most of the reviews have been pretty hot.
“I’d give it two thumbs up, but one hand’s holding the sandwich,” said Frank McAuley of West Palm Beach in between bites of his complimentary sandwich. He and his wife, Evelyn, had come to the Okeechobee and turnpike location during lunch to try out the new menu item.

“It’s excellent,” Maverick Marshall of Greenacres declared after taking a bite of his sandwich. “I like the spicy. It’s got a nice kick, the kind where there’s a memory of the burn in your mouth after you eat it.”
Sue Klisiak of Royal Palm Beach said she doesn’t really enjoy spicy food and doesn’t eat a lot of fast food, but she came for a free sandwich because “it was an intriguing idea to get to be part of the trial of this new sandwich.”
Still, she said the heat intensity of the new offering was too much for her. “It would be a great sandwich, if it would be a little less spicy,” she said.

(Later, a Chick-fil-A employee offered her ranch dressing, and Klisiak said the sauce cooled down the heat of the chicken nicely.)
But while Sue will probably stick to the regular sandwich in the future, her husband, Al — a self-described “spicy connoisseur” — loved the spicy chicken sandwich.
He even added pepperjack cheese to his sandwich to kick things up a notch.
“There’s a lot more chicken than bread, and the quality of the chicken is excellent,” he noted.
